John Inverdale Don’t Be A Pussy

The Tolerance Mob is at it again. The target of their torches and pitchforks today is John Inverdale. If you are not familiar, Inverdale is a well known BBC sports announcer. The BBC is being pressured by the practitioners of love and equality to take action against Inverdale for sins against God and Humanity.

What might those sins be? I am having trouble typing those sins even now, as they are so horrible. I can’t imagine the pain, and humiliation being suffered by the victim of Inverdale’s outrageous attack, Marion Bartoli. For those of you with lives, she just won some tennis tournament or something. And before you start Googling pics, she is no Maria Sharipova, Anna Kounikova, or Sabine Lisicki. She’s uh, kinda homely. I mean she doesn’t look like the rather mannish Williams sisters, but homely nonetheless.

Back to Inverdale’s sin. He said:

“Do you think Bartoli’s dad told her when she was little ‘You’re never going to be a looker? You’ll never be a Sharapova, so you have to be scrappy and fight’.”

Gasp! Don’t you see the sexism dripping from those words like venom from a spider’s fang? He just said hot chicks don’t have to work as hard as…wait a minute…isn’t that what Feminism Inc. has been bitching about for so long?

Yes that last bit was a bit of sarcasm. The only reason I point that out is on the off chance some of the Tolerance Mob shows up, they won’t be able to spot humor, sarcasm, irony, or satire, so I feel obliged to leave road signs. It looks as if some reporters are using this as an opportunity to bitch about the sexism that is apparently the foundation of sports broadcasting or something.

Let’s face it, the real reason the Tolerance Mobs are mad is that no matter how they threaten, cajole, posture, screech, march, or self-immolate (if only) they can’t make women physically equal to men, thank God. They are pissed that nobody gives a shit about women’s sports. I’m sure it has been pointed out to them before, but here goes again, people don’t watch women’s sports because they suck. And by “they” I mean the sports, not the people who don’t watch them.

Mr. Inverdale, do you mind if I call you John? Don’t listen yo your agent, or your bosses here. They don’t care about you. They are part of the mob trying to string you up. Don’t back off your statement. Read this post at Chateau Heartiste, and follow this advice. I understand that before all this happened you were a part of the mob that has turned on you. I’m sure if I felt like looking into it I could find examples of you sticking up for the WNBA or minorities. The problem as I see is that until someone in this situation becomes indignant, and fights back instead of being browbeaten into submission this shit won’t stop. You might even try saying that the racial equivalent of this would be if you said “I wonder if the Williams sister’s dad ever told them that they were never going to benefit from white privilege, so they have to work harder.” That’s really it, isn’t it? You made a statement based on the current leftist ideology, but they did not like the way it sounded, or the fact that it came from a man.

The tl;dr version: Don’t be a pussy.
